English For It : Basics

Descripción

Ever feel like English is everywhere in the world of technology—but sometimes it’s hard to keep up, even when you have the technical skills? You’re not alone. With over 80% of technical information written in English, it’s the language that connects teams, ideas, and opportunities across the globe. Whether you’re just starting out or already working in IT, strong English skills can make everyday tasks easier and open new doors in your career.

The English for IT – Basics Learning Collection guides you step by step from simple, everyday English (A2) to confident, intermediate communication for IT work and study (B1).

How do I know my English proficiency level?

Start at A2 (Elementary):

  • Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases.
  • Can communicate in simple and routine tasks.
  • In an IT context: Can ask and answer basic questions and follow simple instructions for common tech tasks.

Finish at B1 (Intermediate):

  • Can understand the main points of clear input on familiar matters.
  • Can produce simple, connected text on topics of personal interest.
  • In an IT context: Can describe processes, explain problems, and participate in discussions about IT projects and teamwork.

You’ll build the language skills you need through short, engaging video lessons, hands-on vocabulary and grammar practice, and interactive reading and listening activities. Each course focuses on practical English—so you’ll be ready to collaborate with your team, manage tasks, offer advice, and take part in online tech communities. By the end, you’ll be better equipped to share ideas, solve problems, and succeed in international IT environments.

Practice English in real-world IT scenarios, including cybersecurity, software development, AI prompting, data analysis, DevOps, quality assurance, machine learning, project management, tech support, UX/UI, community management, and game design.
